To Gate or Not To Gate?

March 24, 2006 Posted In Homes Update Market Conditions

Trying to knock down barriers and be more neighborly was the plan in Boulder City when it enacted a moratorium on gated communities last month.

Its main cause was to help others be more social and neighborly. The same is being attempted on Las Vegas homes. However, the divide over gated communities remains throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

City planners want to do away so they can increase community interaction and reduce dependence on cars and developers continue to build them for safety purposes.

Las Vegas gated communities remain popular and new gated communities have recently opened. Future gated communities are also scheduled for opening in the near future.
