Plenty Of Room

August 6, 2006 Posted In Homes Update Market Conditions New Construction

Reports show that a soft consumer demand is the reason we have seen a decline in new Las Vegas homes construction. According to stats there has been more than a 21 percent decline in new home building permits for the year.

Local homes builders pulled 1,367 new permits in September, which according to records kept on Las Vegas housing the lowest count since December of 2001. The year-to-date total 18,978 is off by 5,215 from a year ago.

However, not all is lost because some analysts say that since the market was saturated with new home for an extended period of time there is a surplus with plenty of homes to accommodate all those relocating to Fabulous Las Vegas.
