Harry Reid’s Las Vegas Land Deal

December 7, 2006 Posted In Real Estate News

Property deeds show that Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid collect $1.1 million windfall on a Las Vegas land sale.

Reid is supposed to report these types of deals to the Congress, but he did not. Many people siding with Reid point to the fact that he did not technically own the land.

Before selling he had the land transferred to a company created by a close friend.Reid then took a financial stake in the company.

Skeptics of Reid quickly point out that these types of buisness deals are also to be reported to Congress.

According to records Reid’s deal was brokered by former casino lawyer and longtime friend Jay Brown.

Brown is well known for his part in a major political bribery trial that took place this past summer and has also been tied into organized crime.

However, despite the evidence, Brown has not been convicted on any of these charges.

It seems as though Harry Reid will not be questioned or pushed for information about this Las Vegas land deal either.

Many are outraged and believe there should be a deeper investigation.

There has been no information released to imply that there will be any further investigating of this event.
