Another Record Breaking Year

September 17, 2006 Posted In Economic News Finance Homes Update

Interest rates are the lowest they have been since Freddie Mac started their tracking service back in 1971. Other stats have to go back to 1967 to see interest rates as low as they are today, says NAR’s chief economist.

New construction has also taken a hit. But with historically low interest rates revitalizing not only the real estate market, experts say that the housing market is on track for another record breaking year.
